It is the first anniversary of Operation Covington Crew (Hurricane Katrina -- Covington, Louisiana) Habitat for Humanity project undertaken by 14 advertising executives from Deutsch, Inc. Los Angeles (Covington Crew 2008).  The video highlights the groups remarkable achievment in constructing a new home for Katrina victim, Tracy McCauley.

Los Angeles Covington Crew ad-execs with the help of family, friends, and other North American relief agencies, committed monetary donations and other assistance to the Hurricane Katrina disaster.  Seventy other countries including Kuwait made the largest single pledge of $500 million, but Qatar, India, China, Pakistan and Bangladesh made very large donations as well.

But let's pause to reflect on our 14 Deutschers who held fundraisers to pay their own travel expenses and other overhead to take on the Habitat for Humanity home building project:  Where are these advertising executives today?
